Since 2005, The Pampered Palate has been providing exceptional personal chef and catering services to Charleston and the surrounding areas. We are a full-service caterer specializing in weddings, social events and corporate gatherings. We love to build personal relationships with our clients by providing outstanding customer service alongside delicious, palate-pleasing food. At The Pampered Palate, we strive to exceed your expectations by accommodating your needs and requests.


Our catering company is family-owned and operated by husband-and-wife team, Merrit and Catherine Brady. Together they host over 40 years of combined experience in the hospitality industry. At The Pampered Palate, we are fully equipped to handle events of all sizes, from intimate wedding receptions to large corporate events. Our kitchen services are completely mobile so that we can cater any venue. No matter where you wish to hold your event, we are always willing to provide our personal chef and catering services.


Meet The Pampered Palate Team


Chef Merrit Brady

Chef Merrit Brady is the executive chef and owner of The Pampered Palate. The Pampered Palate specializes in creating a unique culinary experience for residents and visitors of Kiawah Island and the Charleston, South Carolina area. Chef Merrit began his culinary career in Highlands, North Carolina in 1995 and quickly realized his passion for the craft. This passion brought him to the prestigious Johnson & Wales University in 2001, where he earned his degree in the culinary arts and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2003. Chef Merrit held the position of executive sous chef at 82 Queen Restaurant, a landmark for Charleston's "Lowcountry cuisine." Chef Merrit then accepted a position at the award-winning McCrady's restaurant, where he held almost every position in the kitchen and eventually became the executive sous chef. While at McCrady's, the restaurant held the distinguished AAA Four Diamond Award, the DiRoNA Award of Excellence, Wine Spectator's "Best of," and Charleston Post and Courier's "Restaurant of the Year." Other accomplishments and experiences include a six-month internship at the Biltmore Estates in Asheville, North Carolina, as well as being a graduate of the Culinary Business Academy and a member of the United States Personal Chef Association.


Chef Catherine Brady

Chef Catherine Brady serves as a personal chef and catering manager for The Pampered Palate. Catherine is a career professional in the hospitality industry and has held many titles over the years. Catherine has an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University. In addition to Catherine's education, her experience includes a culinary internship with Kiawah Island Golf Resort, production chef for The Harbor Club in downtown Charleston and the Osprey Point Clubhouse on Kiawah Island. Catherine has also held positions in the front of house as management for restaurants within the Charleston area. Most notably, Catherine served as a general restaurant manager for five years at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island, which is a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond property. Chef Catherine has been an important part of The Pampered Palate since its founding in 2005.


Chef Brad Jones

Chef Brad Jones holds a Culinary Arts degree from the Culinary Institute of Charleston. Chef Brad's work experience includes production chef for Emeril Lagasse, executive chef at the famous 82 Queen in Charleston for eight years, and as the executive private dining chef at the award-winning McCrady's restaurant. In addition to Chef Brad's culinary experience, he has also been a culinary instructor at the Culinary Institute of Charleston.


Chef Brooks Vaughn

Chef Brooks Vaughn is our newest addition to The Pampered Palate team, but by no means new to the industry. Chef Brooks has been involved with professional kitchens for more than fifteen years. He is a very well-rounded chef with experience as a sous chef at the award-winning 82 Queen restaurant in downtown Charleston, as well as, sous chef at Middleton Place Plantation.
